Providence Innovation Speaker Series

One innovation at a time: How physicians can fix health care

Contracts that reward value instead of volume are spreading. This is powerful progress in the effort to fix health care, but changing the incentives is only step one. The rest of the job – fixing the care – is up to innovators on the front lines.

Building on more than a decade of research into managing innovation, Chris Trimble, Dartmouth professor and author of How Physicians Can Fix Health Care: One Innovation at a Time, will examine what it takes to succeed, with particular attention to the need for physician leadership.
